Juan Palacios is an applied environmental and real estate economist working as an assistant professor at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, department of Finance. I am also a visiting assistant professor at the MIT Center for Real Estate and the MIT Sustainable Urbanization Lab in the Center for Real Estate at MIT, and I am affiliated with IZA — Institute of Labor Economics.

His research concentrates on various topics in environmental, health, and real estate economics. His current research agenda includes estimating the consequences of environmental risks on human health and performance, and the associated behavioral responses. He has published in several leading academic journals such as Management Science.
