ECCE is internationally known for the cutting-edge academic research it has been doing in this field for more than fifteen years. While striving for top quality scientific publications, ECCE has been globally exceptionally strong in identifying important questions that are high on the agendas of both academics and practitioners involved with sustainability issues - such as investors, companies, policy makers and even non-profit organizations. Importantly, much of our research is scientifically innovative because it benefits from the support of these companies and institutions, for example in terms of the real-world data they provide or because of their experience with our core areas of interest.

ECCE has a history of project-based partnerships and collaborations with pension funds, rating agencies, corporations, and banks and mutual funds from around the world to conduct scientifically and practically relevant research and develop tools that matter to practitioners. In addition, our sustainable real estate finance team co-founded the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) in partnership with leading pension funds in the Netherlands.

Apart from research, partnerships may also involve organizations of events such as symposia. Contact us for inquiries at e.vanaernsbergen@maastrichtuniversity.nl
