Rob Bauer appointed Executive Director ICPM

The Board of the International Centre for Pensions Management (ICPM) is pleased to announce that Rob Bauer has been appointed Executive Director effectively immediately.

“Rob has been involved with ICPM since inception and brings a wealth of knowledge about ICPM and the pension community at large to his role” said Barbara Zvan, Chair of the Board. Rob is internationally recognized for his research on pension funds, mutual funds, responsible investments (SRI) and corporate governance and he advises pension funds and institutional asset managers on pension and investments related subjects. He is also Professor of Finance (chair: Institutional Investments) at Maastricht University, School of Business and Economics in the Netherlands and teaches at various executive courses. His academic work has been published in various professional and academic research journals around the world. “At ICPM we will continue to face complex, challenging and transformative questions, and the search for answers will continue to make our journey captivating and richly rewarding. I look forward to working with the Board and Rob as we aim to continue ICPM’s presence in pension plan management.”

The board is also pleased to announce that Keith Ambachtsheer has been named Director Emeritus of ICPM. “Keith has been this institution’s tenacious ambassador since 2005. His commitment and hard work made ICPM what it is today and I look forward to his ongoing contribution to ICPM as he remains actively involved.”
